Potting Native Seedlings
Doug received a pleasant surprise when Amelia Scott of the Hawera
Intermediate School called to say herself and a few mates would like to volunteer

the group and it was planned that they could help find self-sown native
seedlings throughout the Walkway then pot them up and deliver them the Hawera

Walkway Planting Day
21st August 2017: The Hawera Christian School students along with
teachers and parents came to the Nowell’s Lakes Walkway today to plant out
native plants that they had on-grown at their school. The Normanby Lions
Club guys had the areas ready for the planting and showed them what to do.
They even provided a sausage sizzle for everyone at lunch
time.
