Walkway Planting Day

21st August 2017: The Hawera Christian School students along with teachers and parents came to the Nowell’s Lakes Walkway today to plant out native plants that they had on-grown at their school.  The Normanby Lions Club guys had the areas ready for the planting and showed them what to do.  They even provided a sausage sizzle for everyone at lunch time.   

Habitat Heroes Deliver Plants

Jan and Doug provided the vehicles to transfer the first of the native plants on-gown in the Hawera Christian School shade house.  These were taken to the Nowell’s Lakes Walkway in preparation for the big planting day in a few weeks time.
