FOLLOW THE SIGN'S

FOLLOW THE SIGN'S
You can park your car at the end of Rifle Range Road and follow the signs. Or come by bike and ride through the Walkway, or if you are very fit it is about a 40 minute walk from town.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
You have rights of entry but your safety and the safety of others is paramount so please abide by the landowners signs. You can bring your dogs for a wak but they must be on a lead. You can have a picnic but the lighting of fires is prohibited.

Overnight camping by the lakes is great fun but you must get permition for that. The rifle range is used from time to time so watch out for the warning red flags. For conducted tours or special needs vehicle access you can phone the Walkway Coordinator Doug Hutchinson on (06) 278 6054.

THE WALKWAY

THE WALKWAY
The walkway starts in a gully that was once the third lake in the same area and now a rich soil gully covering two and a half hectares.

NOWELL'S LAKES

NOWELL'S LAKES
The Nowell's Lakes are two beautiful ground fed freshwater lakes entraped in the coastal sand dune belt. The two lakes cover seven hectares.
